Resources

There are hundreds of resources out in the market place, some good, some not so good. The only things mentioned on this site are things that we have personally found have helped us. Of course different people learn in different ways so some educational material will work for one person and not the next. The aim is to read as much as you can and discover who and what works for you.

The main areas of educational material are from:-

1) Books - printed and on-line

2) Calculators - some of these can be free (always check everything before you rely on it)

3) Templates - very usefull and many are free

4) Websites - strategy based / inforamational / statistical

5) Newspapers / magazines - local and general

If you have a clear idea of the strategy or strategies that you wish to use then it is best to start with as much generic material as possible. We found that books about others who had done well was a great place to start. These books are inspirational but also give you a good idea of the type of work involved and therefore you can quicky get a sense of "this may be for me" or "not for me". A great way to narrow down the field early on.
